How to join The Perth Artifactory
The Artifactory uses TidyHQ to manage its membership. The following is the suggested path to joining us at the Artifactory
- Join our Slack Team You'll be automatically put in a number of channels, including the “Welcome” channel, where you can chat and ask questions about us.
- Visit the space! Visiting is FREE. Attend one of our open days on the first Saturday of each month, or come down when you can during one of our regular events. Check the webcams here first to see if people are there.

- Visit the space and make things!
- Make the space yours. It's a shared space and your contributions are highly valued.

How much does it cost?
The Artifactory is funded by its membership, workshops/events, donations and other fundraising, all funds received go towards keeping the spaces doors open.

| Band Membership | $100 | Access to The Artifactory Rehearsal Room with at least 3 rehearsal slots a month, Free entry for band members to Perth Artifactory run music related events. Including NoizeMaschin!! and the ModularSynth, Free WIFI, Small kitchenette and toilet facilities, CASUAL USER RATES apply to band members to access tools/machines/workshop. Tool Usage Costs
Whilst the membership fee allows access to our many machines, some of which have an additional timed cost for use, this allows for money to go towards to maintaining and upkeep of the machines.
Non-Members must pay the Casual Access rate(above) in addition to the below
- Laser Cutters
- Member Rate: Big Red $0.20 per minute rounded up to the nearest dollar.
- Member Rate: Little Red/Kellogg $0.10 per minute rounded up to the nearest dollar.
- Casual User Rate: $5 per 10 minutes rounded up to the nearest $5
- Welding with Gas
- Member Rate: - $15 an hour
- Casual User Rate: $20 an hour
- FDM 3D printer
- Member Rate: $0.05 per gram rounded up the nearest dollar
- Casual User Rate: $0.20 per gram rounded up the nearest dollar
- Resin 3D printer
- Member Rate: $0.50 per gram rounded up the nearest dollar
- Casual User Rate: $1.00 per gram rounded up the nearest dollar
- CNC machine
- Member Rate: $0.10 per minute rounded up to the nearest dollar if using Artifactory tooling.
- Member Rate: $0.05 per minute rounded up to the nearest dollar if using your own tooling.
- Casual User Rate: $5 per 10 minutes rounded up to the nearest $5.
NOTE: You must be trained to use these tools safely.
